Privacy notice /
plainly put.

We collect as little as we need, use it only to work with you, and never sell it. The details are below.

Who we are

Trim Tab provides e-commerce strategy, dashboards and analytics for brands selling on Amazon and through their own stores. This notice explains how we handle personal information shared with us through this website and while we work with clients. When we say “we” or “us”, we mean Trim Tab.

What we collect

  • When you contact us: your name, work email, company, the marketplaces you sell on, how you sell on Amazon and anything you write in your message.
  • When you work with us: contact details of the people on your team, and the business data you choose to connect, such as sales, advertising and pricing reports. Client data is handled under the agreement we sign with you.
  • When you browse: this site keeps your display settings, such as theme, logo and navigation, in your own browser so they carry across pages. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To reply to you and arrange a walkthrough or a call.
  • To scope, deliver and support the work you ask us to do.
  • To keep our records, meet legal obligations and protect against misuse.
  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only with service providers who help us run the business, such as email, hosting and data-processing tools, and only as far as they need it to provide their service. They must keep it confidential and secure. We may also share information when the law requires it. The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers when a page opens. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service, which processes them only to deliver them.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Client information is kept for the length of the engagement and afterwards only as long as our agreement or the law requires.

Keeping it safe

We limit access to the people who need it, use providers with recognised security practices, and connect to your data sources with the narrowest access that does the job.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to stop us using it. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. To make a request, contact us using the details below and we will reply within 30 days.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
